House for two people of integral rent, with independent kitchen, bathtub, wood stove and terrace.
The Floating House is the new stay of Mardelacarrasca, named after our son, when in the construction period we explored the space, intuiting how it could become and how we wished it to be. Her feeling as a child was to feel like floating and we, as adults, immediately joined her. The house was already named, the verb was followed by forms, volumes and materials that would make it flesh.
And it was drawing a space where water is very present, hence the bathroom or water room, inspired by the shapes of the Moroccan hamman, is the heart of the house. We wanted an architecture where water could be experienced as a playful and therapeutic element. The spring water can be enjoyed in the form of a bath or shower in a wide, uterine space, with natural materials such as marble and the artisan plaster of Albarracín.
The whole house is a continuum of plaster, walls and floor, which visually resembles the Moroccan tadilak, creating a silky space in sight, soft and very warm.
And from the water room, deep and uterine, the house opens to a large room where the fire room and the bedroom are, communicated with the landscape by large windows, which pour the colors and the beauty of the landscape inside the house . At dusk it is a good time to light the stove, lower the blinds and enjoy the intimacy and hypnosis that the beauty of fire offers within an architecture.
